Rule1. Healthy skin comes first!

When we all agree makeup can do wonderful things, having good skin will always make things a lot easier, especially, if you are not a professional makeup artist. In the no makeup look, a great glowy healthy looking skin is key. That is why I suggest you start your morning with the best routine possible, which less be honest, you should probably already be following by now.For the no makeup look, we want fresh, juicy and bouncy skin that looks naturally radiant. Which is why you should go for lightweight, but deeply nourishing products. For this step, routines like layering toner or essences, using a refreshing sheet mask and face massages will be your biggest ally.Deeply hydrated skin will not only be more radiant and have a natural glow, but will also make the products that we will be applying later for coverage, adhere a lot better to the skin, making them look more natural and well blended. For this step, you should use products like deeply hydrating toners, essences and calming and nourishing masks that will make your skin the perfect canvas for the later makeup application. Some of my product recommendations for this step will then be products like [KLAIRS] Supple Preparation Facial Toner or [KLAIRS] Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask, along or substituted by any others with similar characteristics.

Rule2. Massages are your friend

If you want to look flawless with the less make up possible, facial massages will be a key tip to make the skin fit and ready for your no makeup look. Many people tend to wake up rather puffy in the mornings, which can make you look extra tired and can make your face appear larger as well. In order to fix this, many people will turn towards makeup, but who needs contouring on the daily, when you can make your skin look dazzling and tight with just a simple massage? With just a simple massage you will be able to decongest your skin, activate the lymphatic system and bring blood circulation to your face, which will help your skin get rid of toxins and bring more nutrients. This all together, will make your face look more tight, less swollen and therefore smaller, while bringing on some inner glow as well. For this step you should massage the skin lightly, with a soft product that will allow your hands or your tool of choice, to properly glide through the face without any friction. An extra tip is to use cold tools such as a spoon, or a cold face roller to do the massage, since this will bring added benefits for the de-bloating process as well as skin tightening.

Rule3. The secret lays on the skin

Now that we have gone through skincare, the most crucial step before applying makeup, let's get into the makeup itself. A No makeup look, will provide flawless natural looking skin, through simple techniques and a small amount of products. Now that we have done our skincare and our natural skin at its best state, we are going to proceed to conceal any blemishes as well as focus on evening out the complexion. In order to do this best I recommend you to use very little to almost no product and apply it lightly, but build it slowly for the best natural look.A small amount of a BB cream such as [KLAIRS] Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream will even out and considerably brighten your complexion while still keeping the no makeup look. Make sure to blend well and apply with a light hand, repeating the process if necessary. In terms of long lastingness, mixing textures up is key, so you can always add a bit of [KLAIRS] Creamy & Natural Fit Concealer on the mix for extra coverage. Now to cover of any spots, discoloration or unevenness add a light layer over any area that you might want to conceal. Many times in make up, the concealer step is done first, but for the no makeup look I recommend you to do it after the bb cream step, making sure to also add the product lightly, in small quantities and blending it well for the most natural looking skin. As for the final touches, you can always add a very light amount of setting powder to those areas that you wish.

Rule4. Open up the eyes and pout the lips

For the no makeup look, the next thing to follow up on, besides skin, is the eyes. After the massage step which has already de-puffed the eyes and the concealer and bb cream step, which will have gotten rid of any possible unevenness,we will want to make our eyes as alluring as possible. With an eyelash curler or a wand you can curl your eyelashes to frame your gaze a little bit more, even adding a light layer of coconut oil or very natural mascara with a spoolie brush to add dimension and thickness to your lashes.Next, we all know eyebrows are queen. In fact, if you have ever heard the phrase ‘eyes are the window to the soul’, eyebrows are the frames. If you want to keep your gaze well framed, filling in your brows with a natural powder that matches your hair color, will help complete the whole look, while keeping things natural.Last but not least, do not forget about the lips, lightly exfoliate your lips with a soft cotton pad and a bit of hydrating toner and with a nourishing lip balm or oil add some moisture, to make your lips look as full and juicy as the rest of your face. You can always add a natural "my lips but better" tint or color and blend it well for a more defined effect. Those, my dear wishtrenders, are all the tips that you need to know to achieve the best "no makeup look", make sure to tag us on your pictures if you try this look out and please, do not forget to be your own kind of beauty.
