Fruit Skincare, 3 Fruits Worth Adding in Your Vanity

by Hailei Kim on Apr 16, 2020

K-beauty, famous for its skincare industry, is also known for its experimental spirit in trying out new ingredients for the skincare products. Early in the 2000s, there was a boom of fruit-based products in Korea. It was sensational! An advertising slogan from a cosmetics company that presented all fruit-based products — “Don’t eat, give way to your skin!” — was so famous that it was a catchphrase that didn’t grow old even after years. fruit-skincare-insert-image-1

Fruit Skincare, what's the catch?

Using fruit-based skincare comes with many benefits. Personally, my all-time favorite part about using fruit-based skin care products comes in the natural scent of the fruit. Skincare should not only be about addressing your insecurities. Skincare regimens should be a fun, enjoyable part of your daily routine that you cannot wait to get back to. The herbal or natural scent of fruits helps me scrub off the sleep in the most desirable way to unload the stress at the end of my day in the most relaxing way. Starting or finishing your day without stress is important not only for the general well-being but also for the health of your skin. (You may know by now that stress can also cause pimples!)   Because fruits are rich in antioxidants that help to restore damaged skin and prevent further damage from daily sun exposure and environmental pollutants. Antioxidants are nothing fancy! Among the many antioxidants, vitamins C, E, and A are some of the popular antioxidants found in skincare that we have all heard of. In fact, fruit-based products can treat specific skin problems and also give you the added bonus of regenerating your skin, making it look younger and brighter. Not to mention that fruits are mostly water-based, which makes natural extracts from fruits perfect moisturizers that can hydrate your skin, even for those with sensitive skin. So normally, skincare products are light and airy in texture but effective and efficient in treating skin issues.

3 Trending fruits you don't want to miss!

1) Fig - Smoothing & polishing for Dry Skin

Figs come in a wide range of colors, size, and taste but they are all packed with healthy compounds like polyphenols, flavonoids, and vitamin A, B1, and B2. With these powerful substances, figs help with removing the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin leaving you with a smoother and more polished skin than you had before you started using the product.  Start cleansing with Fig at Wishtrendhttps://www.wishtrend.com/products/fig-cleansing-balm/I would like to recommend figs especially to those struggling with flaky skin. Although everyone can benefit from a gentle polishing and smoothing of the skin, figs could be helpful for those with dry skin because figs are also high in omega and healthy natural oils.

2) Grapefruit - Hydrate & exfoliating for Oily Skin

Anyone who has tried a grapefruit before would immediately recall its sour and bitter taste without trying another bite. The distinct astringency itself is proof that grapefruits possess a high concentration of antioxidants and vitamins, making it an excellent natural exfoliator. At the same time, however, grapefruits do not leave your skin stretchy and dry because they also contain a lot of water. After exfoliating your skin, it creates a moisture barrier around your skin to keep it hydrated.  Exfoliate gently with grapefruit at Wishtrendhttps://www.wishtrend.com/products/youthful-glow-sugar-mask/Grapefruit is a natural fruit ingredient that is best for those with oily and acne-prone skin because of its light, acidic quality. By slightly altering the PH level in your skin, you can find the right, healthy balance that will help reduce acne.

3) Magnolia Berry - Restoring & Strengthening Sensitive Skin

Magnolia berry, also known as the  Schisandra Chinensis when it comes to skincare , is a small red berry that usually grows in a bundle. It is rich in antioxidants, which helps in preventing the skin from premature aging and protecting it from daily environmental pollutants. High dosage of lignans is found in Schisandra Chinensis and this is especially welcoming news for those with sensitive skin because lignans are most effective in treating redness and restoring your skin.  Find the skin problem solving face essence at Wishtrendhttps://www.wishtrend.com/products/quad-active-boosting-essence/Skincare products that contain Schisandra Chinensis is best for those with sensitive skin because Schisandra Chinensis berries are known for its skin-calming and anti-inflammatory qualities.
