What will happen to those whiteheads? There are two possible scenarios for the fate of whiteheads: 

  1. Inflamed pimple in the making: Dysbiosis (imbalance growth of microorganism) inside the plugged oil-sack lead to inflamed acne
  2. Release of obstruction: where dead skin cells/plugs of dead skin cells are shed off to allow the release of the oil to the surface of our skin.
