They ensure that they source their main ingredients from the best site that can produce the highest quality of ingredients. Today I would like to give you my honest review of their Rice Serum
Rice-Serum-Shop-Now
Rice has been known for centuries to be one of the best traditional ancient beauty secrets. It is known to be enriched with a lot of skin-benefiting components. It contains essential amino acids, minerals, and vitamins that are great to restore skin elasticity. On top of that, it contains gamma-oryzanol which is an enzyme that can help even out skin tone and brighten skin complexion. In short, rice extracts are great for brightening, anti-aging, as well as hydration.  The rice extract from their “rice line” is sourced from the Gyeonggi province, Yeoju. The Yeoju area has been known to be a very clean area that is overflowing with water from the Namhan river. Their fertile soil made a great place to grow organic rice without any pesticides. Together with their optimal daily temperature range, this area product rice is sweet and with a higher content of fiber. Without further due, let’s get into the full product review:

Packaging

The product is packed in this simple yet beautiful sturdy glass packaging. One pump of the product is enough to cover our entire face and neck since a little goes a long way with this product.

Ingredients

Let’s talk about some of the ingredients highlight in this product, Aspergillus / Rice Germ Ferment Filtrate: Rice ferment filtrate is high in antioxidants and able to inhibit tyrosinase (melanin-producing enzyme) on our skin.   Niacinamide: Jack-of-all-trades in skincare. It helps brighten skin complexion, strengthen skin barrier as well as soothing. Tranexamic acid: An underrated type of acid. Tranexamic acid is a synthetic derivative of amino acid lysine. It has brightening properties and can help lightens hyperpigmentation including melasma or sunspots.  Squalane: Naturally-occurring oil on our skin that helps to smooth out the surface of our skin and help them to retain the water that is needed to maintain glowing and hydrated skin. Allantoin, Panthenol: A hydrating and soothing ingredient that is greatly tolerable for all skin-type.

Here is the list of their full ingredients list:

Texture & scent

This water-based serum is very lightweight and hydrating. It has a white pearly tint to it, spreads, and set beautifully on the skin leaving that healthy glowing finish on the skin. There is no particular fragrance or scent to this product and it doesn’t irritate my skin. I do think anyone of all skin types can really enjoy this type of texture in between their skincare routine either mixed with other actives or as a standalone serum-based product.

It doesn’t leave any tackiness behind and it never pills under or on top of any other products that I used during the day or night. It can be used both day and night to help hydrate, provide antioxidant protection as well as brightening.

Verdict

I have consistently used this serum during the cold-dry winter air in Seoul and so far I have been really loving it. I used this in the morning after my toner and before my moisturizer, and at night in between my other actives/serum. It has been a beautiful addition to my hydrating and brightening skincare step to keep my skin away from dullness and flakiness throughout this wintertime.

I love how it adds that subtle sheen to keep my skin looking healthy and glowing, without it feeling too suffocating or tacky. The one thing I really notice the most is how it really helps fades my persistent post-acne hyperpigmentation left from my huge cystic pimple on my foreheads in just a few weeks. Those types of marks usually last for over months and take forever to fade. However, I do think that incorporating this serum into my routine really does help fasten the recovery and healing process. Although it is combined altogether with a moisturizer and sunscreen every single day.
