With the rise of COVID-19, masks have become an integral part of our daily routines becoming almost, if not equally, as important as the water we drink and air we breathe. Not only are they meant to keep ourselves safe from outside bacteria, they’re worn in the collective effort to keep those around us safe as well. Like our toners, lotions and other skincare products, masks are the one other thing that is in prolonged contact with our skin on a daily basis. This is why we wanted to ensure that there was a comfortable, sustainable, non-irritating option on the market. This is why the By Wishtrend team came together to develop a skin-friendly face mask that can be worn by those with all skin types, for all-day-long comfort.

A breath of fresh air from your typical mask

The By Wishtrend Organic Hemp Face Mask is a one-size-fits-all, reusable, washable terrycloth face mask that is not only free of chemicals, but also synthetic fibers. Instead, it’s created from a blend of 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton, making it safe for both adults and children, and thankfully comfortable for all-day wear as it’s super soft to the touch.

It’s no secret that our team tested out a plethora of fabrics to find the perfect option - a necessary step in ensuring that our mask would be safe and comfortable for all skin types. We made the final decision to go with hemp, which is known for its great antibacterial, moisture wicking and ventilation properties. Not only that, hemp is one of the most durable of all natural fibers, is resistant to UV rays, and even has moisture wicking properties to reduce the unwanted humidity within our masks. * Test of Antibacterial Activity of Textiles (removal of Staphylococcus aureus 99.9%, Klebsiella pneumoniae 74.6%) completed from FITI. Test of Deodorization Activity (removal of ammonia 96% within 2 hours) completed from KATRI. So, breathe easy knowing that the By Wishtrend Organic Hemp Face Mask is made with only the highest quality materials for all-day comfort and protection.

How to use and how to care?

∙It comes with a pouch:

When you first receive the Organic Hemp Face Mask, you would notice that it comes with a pouch. We decided to include the pouch for the purpose of storing and keeping the mask clean and safe at times when you need to take them off. Rather than placing the mask on a random surface that we are not sure whether it has been sanitized or not, place them in the pouch whenever you need to be 'mask-free'.

∙ Find the white stitch

To figure out the proper way to wear it, find the white stitch on the strap line. Make sure the side with the stitch covers the inside of your face, and is placed in the bottom. This way, you will be able to wear it more securely and with more comfort.

∙ Tips to keep it clean and undamaged- Wash before use - Machine wash with detergent. - Avoid fabric softeners as it can reduce absorbency of the fabric- Machine dry in low temperature (shrinkage may occur)

Getting through hot and humid summer was easy with this mask on!

With the never-ending new cases of Covid-19 here in Korea, mask has been with me every single day since the end of February. I have tried and tested out countless types and brands to find the one that I can feel safe and also feel at ease. However, I've struggled to find the one that I could feel comfortable all day without the concern of skin troubles. But once we started to work on the Organic Hemp Face Mask and started testing them out, I've noticed a major difference in terms of how the mask feels on my skin and how less irritating and uncomfortable it felt all day long. As much as wearing masks out in the public is crucial for prevention and for the sake of everyone, it is hard to fully get used to having a mask around your face for hours. So, when we decided to design and come up with our very own Face Mask, I couldn't have been happier. With 'hemp' as the main ingredient for the fabric and organic cotton for the straps, we are able to start off with a skin friendly face mask that will help relieve skin irritation and hopefully further skin troubles.
