Match Made in Heaven: Vitamin E Cream for Your Vitamin C Serum

by bb on Jan 23, 2019

When we think of creams, we don’t often this they will maximize the effects of other products. But low and behold certain creams actually have the ability to do just that! For today's in-depth review I will be sharing my experience and first-impression on the By Wishtrend Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream review and how this cream worked on my skin in conjunction with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum, a vitamin C serum that can potentially have its effects boosted by this cream.

Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream First Impression Review

This cream for skin is unique in itself as it is designed to be an enhancing product, boosting the benefits of vitamin c serums and other active ingredients that were applied beforehand. Making this creams functionality unlike any other creams out there. Simply putting it, this is not your average day cream or night cream. On that note, let’s take a closer look at what exactly this cream claims to do for us.

"What exactly is it supposed to do?"

Product Claims

The By Wishtrend Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream claims to:• Contain 75% of Vitamin Tree (Sea Buckthorn) Water.• Includes natural Vitamin E• Has no stickiness or irritation• Is rejuvenating and anti-aging• Repair skin's natural barrier• Is calming and soothing• Can be used both as a day cream and night cream• Enhances the power of vitamin c and other activesThose are some pretty good claims for 1 cream! However, what it really comes down to is the nitty-gritty, what it’s made of, so let's take a look at the ingredients list and see what makes this cream work.

"Okay, so what makes it work?"

The Ingredients

Hippophae Rhamnoides Water (75%), Butylene Glycol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate, Copolymer, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Elaeis Guineensis(Palm) oil, Elaeis Guineensis(Palm) Kernel Oil, Dimethicone, Beeswax, Allantoin, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel OilOf course, not everyone is familiar with the key ingredients but if you look closely, you will notice this cream is formulated mostly with natural plant-based ingredients. Not only that, there is no mineral oil or fragrance.

Packaging & Texture

Taking a look at the packaging, the Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream comes in an average sized jar containing 50mls with simple white and orange labeling featuring dark brown tinted plastic.Personally, I love the aesthetic of jar packaging for creams, however, as most of us skincare enthusiasts know, jars are unhygienic in comparison to tubes, vials, or pump bottles. So make sure to always use clean hands or a clean skincare spatula when collecting product from within the jar.

What does it feel like?

Texture wise, the Vitamin 75 Maximizing Cream has more of a gel texture rather than an actual cream like texture. I would say it is between that of a gel and a cream as it does not feel as lightweight as a gel but not as heavy as an actual cream product. I actually rather enjoy and this the texture is perfect for any skin type!

Experience & results

When I first applied the cream over my skin in the morning, I immediately loved it! It was lightweight but also felt moisturizing as well. It glided smoothly over my skin and did not cause any sort of burning or itching.

How did I use it?

Because this is a day and night cream, I intended to use it as such.In the morning, I applied it over top of a Vitamin C serum which was my Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop serum as it is designed to enhance and increase the working power of vitamin c.During the night time, I used it as a sleeping mask to add extra hydration and enhance the benefits of my regular night time routine. I apply a very thin layer over top of my night cream during the night.

What were my results?

I only used this cream for 3 days until I saw some pretty fast results from it in combination with my vitamin serum. In only 3 days, my skin looked brighter than when I was using the Vitamin C serum on its own! For me, this cream certainly did prove it's ability to enhance the power of vitamin products.

Overall first impression

This cream is a must have for me whenever I purchase a new bottle of vitamin C. It certainly did well to enhance the effects of the serum and it’s certainly worth the combination. Based on my experience, there were visibly enhanced results without irritation while also leaving my skin wonderfully hydrated.

"I fully recommend this cream!"

Even as just a regular day cream or night cream for those with oily and combination dry skin! It really is a treat to use.
