While there are a plethora of K-pop star skin secrets, the biggest of them all is the care they put into their in-flight skincare. Read on for their know-hows!

In-flight K-pop star skin secrets

Here are 7 easy K-pop star skin secrets that you can follow along with during your flight!

Tip 1: Use a long lasting sheet mask to keep skin hydrated

Plane cabins are especially dry, and with the constant flow of the air conditioner, your skin can feel like it’s cracking by the end of the trip without the proper moisture. Pack a sheet mask for the trip so that you can enjoy the hydrating, soothing effects of the mask while sitting back and relaxing. Use long lasting masks like the [BY WISHTREND] Hours Long Moisturizing Gauze Sheet Mask, which stay moist for up to 40 minutes, to combat the dryness.

Tip 2: If you don't have one, make use of toner and cotton pads

If you don’t have a sheet mask, no worries! Just bring your favorite toner and a few cotton pads and you can make yourself a DIY sheet mask! Toners like the [KLAIRS] Supple Preparation Facial Toner are great because it absorbs easily and contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid, which is excellent at hydrating the skin, and centella asiatica to soothe, so your skin isn’t met with any irritation and inflammation. While you can use your conventional cotton pad, use the [KLAIRS] Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad to reduce product waste, as the sponge pad absorbs a small amount of product, instead delivering it all to the skin.

Tip 3: Pile up on moisturizer while flying

You can never have too much moisturizer on a plane. It’s common for a lot of people to see a pimple pop up here and there after a plane ride because of a lack of proper moisturization and cleansing. Because of the dry environment and high altitudes, the skin is more sensitive, making it crucial you choose products that aren’t too oily, and have soothing qualities. Use products like the [KLAIRS] Rich Moist Soothing Cream that are mild and gentle in formula so that they don’t cause any irritation on the skin while flying.

Tip 4: Drink water, rather than caffeine or alcohol

Not only do caffeine and alcohol make you visit the bathroom more frequently - which can be a pain especially when crossing over people’s legs in a tight space, they also work to irritate the skin by causing blood vessels to expand, resulting in redness and heat to creep up on the face. You’re going to need the extra water to keep your body and skin hydrated throughout the ride.

Tip 5: Make use of your samples

You might be thinking, how am I supposed to follow these K-pop star skin secrets if there’s no room for me to bring on board all of my skincare products? Well, this is now the perfect time to use the many skincare samples you’ve received from the many beauty purchases you made throughout the year. With them, you don’t have to worry about storage, space, and if they’re allowed on board.

Tip 6: Do facial massages throughout the flight

Because of the high elevation, it’s common for the face to bloat as a result of the pressure. To combat swelling, regularly massage your face at pressure points along the temples, eyebrows, eyes, bridge of the nose, under the cheekbones, the concave portion where the jaw meets the neck, and the neck.

Tip 7: Wear comfortable clothing

While K-pop stars look like they’re ready to walk the red carpet when at the airport, many of them take a change of more comfortable, looser clothing if they aren’t already dressed like that. Be sure to dress in clothes that allow good blood circulation, and avoid tight jeans. On the flip side, wearing compression socks can help to combat the swelling of your feet and legs, which common as well.
