On top of that, most vitamin C products today have water-based formulas and utilize containers without airtight function, shortening product lifespan by making it more prone to oxidation.

We've controlled vitamin C's time, so you can control your skin's time. Pure Vitamin C 20% Element uses vitamin C in its purest form - ascorbic acid, to help visibly increase elasticity and balance an uneven skin tone. Highly lauded for its beneficial effects, but notorious for its instability, vitamin C's fresh potency is captured in time through elmt's innovative powder-in-suspension formula and airtight container. Our 2-Tier Stabilization Technology first locks in the effectiveness of vitamin C with the help of a bio-ferment extract, which is then suspended in a biolipid base to prevent activation until you need it.

Unlike water-based forms of vitamin C, this waterless product contains water-soluble vitamin C powder that activates upon contact with the skin's moisture. Each use imparts instant radiance, while also forming a protective barrier that fights environmental aggressors for a brighter & firmer complexion over time.

HOW TO USE

Ascorbic acid activates with water, so we recommend applying product on damp skin for optimal efficacy.

1. Use as a revitalizing night mask.
While skin is still slightly damp from your nighttime cleanse, apply 1-2 pumps to the face. Follow up with your favorite serum and moisturizer.

2. Mix with other skincare products.
Following your nighttime cleanse, use product immediately after applying an elmt Solution of your choice, or other water-based toner or serum. Finish with your favorite moisturizer.

1. FAQ

Q1. Are there any precautions for first time vitamin C users?
If you have sensitive skin, or if you're new to vitamin C products, we recommend patch testing on the neck or forearm for 24 hours before use. If there are no adverse effects, steadily increase the amount and/ or frequency of use.

Q2. My skin feels warm/ tingly/ uncomfortable after use. Why is this?
This product is clinically tested non-irritating for sensitive skin, and formulated to minimize risk of irritation. As this product contains a high concentration of vitamin C, it's also specially formulated to minimize oxidation through a biolipid base, which may cause a reaction in sensitive/ sensitised skin. In some cases, you may experience a slight warmth or brief tingling after application - this is a natural phenomenon as product absorbs into the skin. However, if you experience chronic skin flushing and heat sensitivity, this may be perceived as irritation. If redness or sensitivity persists hours after use, rinse off with cold water, cease use and consult your dermatologist.

Q3. Why does this product have an oily finish?
This product has a unique waterless base and, while it's completely oil-free, may feel slightly "oily" to the touch. This feeling disappears about 30 seconds after application.

Q4. How should I store my product?
Store at room temperature in an area without exposure to sunlight and UV rays. Do not store at temperatures above 35℃ for prolonged periods of time.

Q5. Can I use it during the day?
Vitamin C reduces in efficacy with exposure to UV rays. As so, we recommend using product at night for best results. If applied during the day, always SPF as the final step in your routine.

Q6. How much product should I use at a time?
Use a maximum two full pumps, or less as needed. If you have sensitive skin, begin with an even smaller amount and steadily increase amount of use.
