While water soluble solvents and oil bases exist as an alternative to a water base, many companies including ours choose to stick with a water base as alternatives do not mix well with vitamin C, nor do they absorb well into the skin. While the By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 15% with Ferulic Acid is formulated with water, this decision was made with product efficacy and skin safety in mind.
